We’re all missing those visits to our favourite restaurants – so much so that we’ve all had to become inventive this year re-creating our favourite meals at home, whether that’s from scratch or with a little help from a meal kit.
One of the latest meal kits available are the Pizza Express kits – and in this week’s fakeaway, we’ve chosen to take on their American Hot Meal Kit to see if we could create a lower fat, lower carb version that is just as easy to make at home. We succeeded!

A classic American Hot pizza comes in at 978 calories, 37.7g fat, 111.1g carbs, 52.8g protein. In comparison, our version comes in at just 260 calories, 7g fat, 9g carbs and 34g of protein, making it the perfect low-calorie dinner recipe for those who love pizza and allowing you to be able to enjoy a few extra slices without feeling guilty!

So what have we switched up?

Ingredients

100g Passata

20 Slices Pepperoni

Green Chilli

Method

Add the passata to the pizza base, followed by the Eatlean Grated Cheese

Top with the pepperoni, the green chilli and Italian seasoning

Top with the pepperoni, herbs and green peppers then bake in the oven for 15 mins until cooked through, oozing and melted!

Cook in the oven for 10-15 mins until oozing and melted!
