Showing our support towards Love Your Gut Week that takes place this week we’ve been cooking up our favourite cheese toastie with a twist – with a little help from our fermented friend Kimchi!

If you haven’t yet tried the flavour combination of melted cheese and Kimchi, then we are about to introduce you to a flavour sensation that elevates both your standard toastie recipe….and your good bacteria levels up a notch or two!

What is Kimchi? A traditional Korean dish, comprising of mixed vegetables, chilli, garlic, salt and fish sauce, which is allowed to pickle and ferment, preserving the vegetables, and creating a really delicious side dish/condiment!

Why should I try it? The fermentation process increases the levels of gut-friendly bacteria bringing a whole host of health benefits, starting with your digestive system.
