HALLOUMI-STYLE KING BURGER

It's one of the newer additions to the Burger King menu...The Halloumi-Style King Burger. With 630 calories per burger and a whopping 41g of fat...we had to give it a go and try and replicate this recipe to create a fakeaway version that is fewer in calories. And.....We did!! Our version came in at 472 calories, and just 18g of fat.
So where did we make a difference? Well its all thanks to our new Eatlean Grill!

Coming in with 40% less fat than a standard Halloumi cheese, we've managed to shave off a considerable amount of calories and fat content, without compromising on flavour OR on the amount of cheese!

Eatlean Grill is our answer to Halloumi, containing 17% less salt than standard Halloumi. So now you can enjoy all of your favourite Halloumi based dishes from Halloumi fries and burgers to a crisp and fresh Halloumi topped Mediterranean salad....without the excessive calories!

    Ingredients

    • Brioche Bun
    • 100g Eatlean Grill
    • Lettuce
    • Tomato
    • Onion
    • 1TBSP Light Mayo

    Method

    Chop the Eatlean Grill into four even slices and place onto a pre-heated grill or frying pan

    Turn the Grill slices and heat through until golden and melted through

    Prep the burger – spread with mayo, then add the cooked grill stacking two on top of the other

    Add the onion, tomato, lettuce, then a little mayo to the top of the bun and you are good to go!
